How is it different if you ask them to take 2 or 3 1hour calls? At the end of the day, interviewing - regardless of take home, whiteboarding, pair programming, leetcode - is a time commitment. Yes people with a family or limited spare time are at a disadvantage, but I don't think there is a way around that.
