I am not too sure getting paid for them honestly makes much difference. For an average job hunt the amount you would be paid is small compared to the hopeful raise you get. Plus tax complications. Before doing an assignment just work out the “pot odds” and see if you want to raise or fold. Yes it is basically poker!
