It’s not a daft question, because redis clusters do have consistently issues (https://redis.io/docs/manual/scaling/#redis-cluster-consistency-guarantees https://redis.io/docs/manual/scaling/#redis-cluster-consiste...), but for simple replication it is not really an issue.
