I had to look this up to verify, but the actual population of the city is about a quarter of a million, the 50k refers to the historic part of it.
- occamrazor 4y agoThe rest of the city is called Mestre. It’s a separate town on the mainland, which belongs to the sane administrative “city”. Nobody considers them as _the same_ city.
