You know, it seems like every time I'm about to look into Unity, there's suddenly a major change with it. Last time I did, I was trying to learn it via UnityScript (i.e. JS, my expertise) and about a month later, they dropped support for UnityScript and changed their internals to -- IIRC -- an entity-based restructured model. I felt defeated and dropped it. Now, years later, I'm hoping to make a career change from fintech to game dev, and to do so I need to learn either Unity or Unreal Engine. It's a terrifying life change, but I decided on Unity, since I have that month of some experience with it... and now this happens. If I start learning Unity again, and a month or two from now the merger leads to another full shift in how it works, I swear I will implode.
