Every now and then someone visits from Europe and has an idea of the "day trip" they are going to make. We have to explain to them it will take them 12 hours to drive that in one direction even if it is in the same state and there is no possibility of doing it by rail. The miles driven are just much different, and much more necessary. Along with that comes the desire to enjoy the time spent in the car/truck.
