They should’ve not cooperated. Instead, cloudflare should have had to contact verisign - the actual owner of .com.
- seanhunter 4y agoThey are presumably smart enough to distinguish cloudflare from an actual threat actor. Collaboration between infosec teams is very common, and people in the infosec world often have working relationships which survive over multiple periods of employment, so impersonation is less likely.
