- kemayo 4y agoI dislike that framing. It seems disingenuous to call "doing what I'm required to do by my employer" any variant on "quitting". It's explicitly not quitting, after all. If the employer expects that you do more, it should require it. Reminds me of the Office Space "flair" scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ChQK8j6so8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ChQK8j6so8
- programmer_dude 4y agoThat is a stupid name. Why not just say somthing like slacking or coasting?
- type0 4y agoSome office workers are using the word "slacking" as being on Slack and you wouldn't use "coasting" when you live in flyover State /s
- programmer_dude 4y agoLOL.
- flappyeagle 4y agoSlacking or coasting implies you're lazy or you've lost motivation. Quiet quitting is a conscious choice
- seneca 4y agoIt's a conscious choice to slack off and coast, plus an excuse.
