This article is really hardcore kink shaming here by not saying "non-consentual sadistic sexual behavior" and just lumping in potentially consentual sadistic sex with torture and animal abuse. There are plenty of people who get off humiliating their partner or being humiliated... in a consentual way that is within a bubble of love and consent. The emotions are no less real, neither is the high. Casually grouping a healthy consentual pursuit of these releases with sexual abuse, and then placing that next to animal abuse in a sentence is really problematic.
