- mPReDiToR 4y agoThe only part of the PinePhone that's immutable is the baseband on the modem. The OS in the chip has been rewritten, but to open the baseband removes the certification and recertifying an open version is outside the scope of the project. We're stuck with just that blob, but the modem is cut off from the main CPU and DMA by being connected over USB.
