The only saving grace about the heatwave in France right now is that it's a very dry heat, almost desert like. Obviously, that leads to some brutal drought like conditions and is still dangerous, but I find even 30 with a lot of humidity feels significantly worse than the heatwave in Lyon a couple weeks ago. Shade at least offered some relief. When the humidity is super high, even shade doesn't really help. It was pretty crazy in Lyon though, I did not expect 40+ degrees during my holidays there.
