Urgent Facebook Help Please:(
I am hoping there may be somebody who can give me some advice please - my Facebook has been hacked & I have 3 days left to find a resolution before my account is permanently disabled! I have so many memories & friendships on this account which are irreplaceable..
I was hacked through an old email address attached to my FB account through an expired domain.
I was on my email as it was happening - I could see notifications of my password being changed & suddenly I was locked out as they posted illegal content.
The hackers placed ads which were charged through my PayPal account which fortunately I was able to stop. I was able to regain ownership of my account through a lengthy process of providing my ID.
I am now however stuck! I have tried everything & on 4 August I received notification from Facebook that I ‘only have 8 days left to take action’ before my account is permanently disabled as I did not finish the steps to disagree with their recent decision to suspend my account.
However.. when I attempt to access my account it tells me ‘Review Requested’ If we find that your posts of comments didn’t follow our Community Standards, your account will remain disabled.
I really don’t know what else to do & would be so grateful for any advice?

- pestatije 4y agoOnce the account is disabled they offer a download with all the data the account had. Not ideal, but your data will be there.
- gitgud 4y agoThis is definitely the first thing you should do to prevent completely losing your data. But even still, I doubt Facebook would actually delete your data until another few months after the account is disabled...
- v0idzer0 4y agoThey will never delete it. Facebook doesn’t delete data
- jolieamber 4y agoIt says the review can take up to 45 days but they say it is permanently disabled after 30 so that doesn’t work!
- sp332 4y agoAfter you got access to your account, are you sure the email from Facebook was really from Facebook? It could have been a phishing attempt to snag your login creds and regain control of your account. How did they get access to your PayPal account?
- jolieamber 4y agoWhen I proved my ID & regained access (to disabled account) I used a new email address & the message came through that. I am not sure how they got to my PayPal, it seems to have happened to a lot of people!!!
- jolieamber 4y agoI think so as I had given a different email when I got in using my ID. No idea how they got my PayPal but seems to have happened to a lot of people!!
- smt88 4y agoYou are one of ~2B users. They don't care about you and there's a good chance no one will ever review your account. Your only hope is if you know someone who works at Facebook (or you know someone who knows someone). They have access to internal processes that we don't have access to. Please remember to do a full download of your personal cloud accounts (Gmail, Facebook, etc.) regularly, because these companies don't care about you at all.
- jolieamber 4y agoI wish I knew how to access a human! It is hard to believe that this goes on. How do you do a download?
- adave 4y agoDownload your data and start with a new account or better yet find someplace better and leave all the toxicity behind. Consider it a lucky break.
