In fact most trips are probably well under 20 miles. So if you have a garage and are willing to install a 240V, 50A circuit, a lot of use cases are covered? One weekend my wife drove it from Boston to NYC and planned ahead stopping in Connecticut once in each direction, found a ChaDeMO fast charger, topped up in less than an hour both times.
