Hong Kong Investment Bank’s 2,325% Surge Baffles Investors
- smcn 4y agohttps://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/megl https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/megl It's not looking so hot during premarket hours but it was close to $340 earlier. I can't understand what exactly is going on, as it seems to be another case of $HKD. Don't take this as investment advice though, I would not touch these stocks with a 10 ft pole.
- kurthr 4y agoYes, and possible pump-dump or some form of bid-rigging by insiders. It would be interesting if it was a $ conversion mistake though.
- smcn 4y ago_Definitely_ a pump and dump. At the least, it's 100% crime. I run a stock discovery algorithm, so I'm pretty on the ball with what retail investors are buying and it was 100% out of the blue. r/wsb found out about $HKD a day before they were blamed for it, and it was already at like $2k. I don't know what's going on but I hope it isn't a regular occurrence. We'll see how $MEGL does but, I mean, it's surging right now.
