Could learning algebra in my 60s make me smarter?

- yababa_y 4y agoIt’s a good story from the perspective of a math-concept-struggler, but I don’t think linear algebra is that much of a step up. Fully formal linear algebra, maybe, but there’s a lot you can do with computer systems to sidestep some of the tedium inherent in traditional teaching of the subject
- ggm 4y agoA great story, and I say that as the 61yo who struggles with aspects of higher forms of math, as in "more than counting" -despite a great 40 year career in computer science, which formally is a (sub)division of .. mathematics.
