Avoid 'Learn [programming language] in 15 minutes' video (appeals to our limited attention spans). 2. Avoid programming videos tutorials when the presenter has only learn programming a few months ago. 3. Do coding exercises rather than watch YouTube tutorials. 4. Focus on mastering one language (if you are a beginner). 5. Avoid the "I learned [language] in 5 days" videos. Everyone is different and don't try and measure yourself against these programmers. 6. The 10-15 hour programming course promises much, but is it effective in re-enforcing the content?
- verdverm 4y agoThere is a lot of edutainment going around. I always recommend long form content and lecture series from top universities. And daily practice of whatever you are trying to learn
