I just wanted to hop in and agree with you. I’m still think REST APIs have their place and are easier to work with. If someone had recommended GraphQL 5 years ago I would’ve been against it but Apollo is good enough that I think it’s a fairly safe choice for teams to make. One thing you do need to watch for is preventing clients from doing stupid things by allow listing queries or implementing some sort of query cost analysis.
