Why are you convinced your armchair strategy is superior to decades worth of analysis by one of the most successful companies in the world? TSMC has no desire to become Apple because they already capture so much of Apple's revenue. I guarantee you they have put enormous thought into the exact optimal price point, as building fabs is extremely capital intensive.
