A chemist explains why the claims of 'structured water' is nonsense
- miika 4y agoWhat I have learned so far structured water is not same as ez water by Pollack. With structured water the idea is that single water molecules are somehow capable of forming clusters. These clusters are said to be able to hold electromagnetic charge. When “structuring” by physically forcing water through spiral geometries etc (various methods) these clusters are said to get broken. As far as I have seen the claims of water having memory are based in these clusters, which supposedly even look like neural networks. But I haven’t seen any real evidence for this stuff. Just wanted to say that in this article they seem to confuse two entirely different concepts.
- cyanydeez 4y agoWater forms colloidal type complexes. You add a surfactant and those colloids lose ionic clustering. If there's anything water "remembers" it exists in some other universe
- tomatotomato37 4y agoI like that claim that adding more atoms (an extra oxygen and hydrogen for H3O2) still makes it perfectly safe water, and not say a horrendous oxidizer like hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) Edit: I actually looked it up, it forms Hydroxyoxidanium, a unstable ionic compound that seems to decompose pretty much immediately
