- calvinmorrison 4y agojust throwing out the Wrangler ATG 'reinforced utility' pant. I own, 6 of them. They last about two years each. - double fabric on knees and down - double fabric on heel area - gusseted crotch (an extra piece of fabric in a diamond pattern, and the pants have a slight bend sewn into the leg so its very easy to crouch etc. - like 2-3% spandex, so they stretch - has an extra side pocket where your hand would be if you put your hands straight at your sides like a military man - very wide belt loop in the rear, avoids breaking - side cut pockets so you can easily get in and out. I am not a fanboy, i am a super fan boy. and they're 40 bucks. I wear these every day, the sku is NS857U

- Kaibeezy 4y ago97% cotton FTW. All my favorite tactical trousers have gone over to high tech fabrics that are much more durable and nominally lighter weight, but don’t breathe like cotton and I hate them. For £40 two years is good enough for me. I’ll try one of those.
- hef19898 4y agoAs compared to proper hiking trousers, appr. 100 bucks and they serve you well for a decade. Assuming nornal use as intended. Granted, those are not tactical, but then I have much more use for trekking trousers as I rarely encounter any tactical situations...
- calvinmorrison 4y agoWell, fwiw that only my first pair lasted two years, I wore them nearly daily. I now have a lot so they rotate out more. The primary area they wore out was the butt between the pockets, nowhere else, no broken zipper, no broken belt loops. For working on cars, it's not bad.
- Kaibeezy 4y agoKuhl has so many styles and I have so little patience. Which one is loose fitting, light/medium weight, mostly cotton and looks like regular/cargo trousers, not joggers or pyjamas?
