I can't follow the author. Are they saying that this self talk is actually good for them, or bad? It sounds like he was really kind to themselves, yet the sueounsing text implies these were actually examples of "not loving oneself"

The self-talk seems to be less than optimal. They are unable to truly accept their own love: > Self: Hey Chase! Do you like me? > Chase: I love your life! > Self: Um > Chase: Yeah, you’re so lucky. There’s not another life I’d want you to have > Self: Ok
