- mtmail 4y agoHow many co-founders does the company have? Do you have equal shares (e.g. 33% in a 3 founder company)?

- dotcoma 4y agoI can’t believe you founded this startup together and you can’t sit your 2 co-founders down and tell them you’re unhappy…
- rakeshtandon 4y agoI can tell them but just thinking of what they would think about this see I don't want to make them unhappy. I am also not sure is VP high or CTO high and why I was not appointed as CTO.
- max_hammer 4y agoAnd leaving the company won't make them unhappy ? I would definitely talk to them before taking major decision
- rakeshtandon 4y agoyes that would make them unhappy and that is why I have not resigned but I dont know if you are able to understand it but it really feels bad seeing these things.

- YuriNiyazov 4y agoThis is silly. The thing you need to concentrate on is how to make the company successful. Is it possible to convert your third of the company into massive amounts of cash? Doesn't sound like it, because the company is not a unicorn. You should be concentrating on getting the company (and therefore, your third of the company) to be worth as much as possible, and not worry about silly ego stuff. Also, if this is really important to you - at my company, both the CTO and the VP of Engineering report to the CEO. It is not a given that VP report to CTO.

- HarshitDoshi 4y agoThat is honestly not how HN works. Your mistakes could be mine and other's mistakes too and we too would have loved to learn from the discussions and updates that this post would have garnered. Even though if we cast out the mistakes or whatever it was that you had posted out of the picture for a moment, it might just have been a good point of learning and reading for anyone. Please do not do this going forward.
