Serious q for any astrophysicists here: could the JWST resolve any surface features of Proxima Centauri? (In infrared of course.) Would be mind-blowing to see if so.

- angry_octet 4y agoNo, it's far too small. We'd have to send dozens of JWSTs far out of the solar system in order to build a large enough baseline to resolve details.
