Run the app. For 1, the problem is you are bisecting, so your test for HEAD may not compile with earlier versions For 2. unless it is a nice command line app you can script, you have to wait for it to start up and manually do the steps to reproduce the problem. Ideally of course if you are always aiming to be bisectable you can mitigate these with fast as possible compile and run times. Probably you would try not to build a monolith in that case.
