Why?
- more_corn 4y agoA clone is legally and ethically equivalent to a twin brother. You’re creating a twin so you can harvest his organs. The fact that the embryos are not currently viable long-term is a technicality. Create new life. Label it other via technicality, harvest it for your own purposes. Evil.
- theplumber 4y agoI will clone it brain dead. Is it still evil?

- sneak 4y ago> Create new life. Label it other via technicality, harvest it for your own purposes. How is this different from planting crops? (Assuming you don't consider agriculture "evil".)
- LorenPechtel 4y agoIt depends on what you consider a person. To me the unique feature of humanity is the brain. Functioning brain, it gets rights. No functioning brain, it's just tissue. And they're not proposing to take it far enough along that there is a functioning brain. Thus I have no problem with it.
- greenhearth 4y agoAccording to Friedrich Schelling, true evil is the actualization of what should remain only a pure possibility, the actual bringing about of what should only exist in discourse. And here we have an example par excellence.
