I wrote a keyboard-driven drawing program that IIRC wound up being self-replicating, appending a string of DRAW commands to itself so each saved drawing could rebuild itself and continue drawing. I also remember how impressed I was when I first saw a program bouncing 3d shapes around the screen instead of my 2d lines.
