- kstrauser 4y agoIt was miraculous. The trade off was that there was a small upper bound on the message size, and it was all transmitted in the open. You couldn’t write a long love letter, for example. But for short, urgent messages, or even a simple “I love you and miss you a lot”, it was astoundingly useful. The morale boost from knowing you could get word home in under a day was tremendous.
