Are we really going to pretend that only progressive Californians decided to build wind and solar in TX? Maybe, people in TX are larger than only their politics and decided to take huge risk building a lot of wind and solar on land being used for nothing else? I'll never understand why we'd bash something that a) has helped the grid, b) represents progress toward renewable energy just because a news outlet likes to lambast the high level politics of a given place.
