What’s the environmental impact of hydrogen production + fuel cell or EVs for long distance trucking over say algie & biodiesel. Is this really better for the environment when considering the full cost?
- bshipp 4y agoThe one (potential) benefit could be utilizing hydrogen as a sort of battery, where off-peak electrical generation capacity is used for processing hydrogen instead of being wasted or sold at a loss. My municipality was actually paying other jurisdictions to absorb excess generation capacity, so something like hydrogen generation could be a useful off-peak demand source.
