I showed this to my coworkers who are mechanical engineers (I am a software engineer) and it made them angry... EDIT: It was this+OpenSCAD in general that enraged them!

Why? Maybe finish them off by showing them Bowler Studio from: http://commonwealthrobotics.com http://commonwealthrobotics.com It pretty much enrages me every time I try to use a traditional 3D CAD program --- or when I have to pay for one (the annual Veteran's license for SolidWorks, while a nice gesture was a pain, but at least my son was able to use it and a Connexion Spacemouse my sister bought him for his school projects). May I ask? What sort of software engineering do you do in concert w/ mechanical engineers?
