I can relate that negative feedback is frustrating, especially without reasons given. But think about it - if a submission were not flagged but people still perceive it as divisive - that would probably just lead to flames in the comments. So HN (or the internet at large) is perhaps not the best place to seek encouragement and positive feedback.
