This is something I left in a book. I keep Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment on my desk, more out of nostalgia than anything. I flipped through it one day and found the receipt ($56!) from when I bought it, in 1995, at a Barnes and Noble in a strip mall outside Cincinnati. I bought it on the way home from my summer job.
