Reminds me of that line from that movie "you and your stupid mate" where the guy ignores the letter and doesn't open and he says something like "If I wait 5 days and then open it, if it's bad news then that's 5 extra days of happiness that I got that I wouldn't have got if I opened it now". Can't fault that logic.
