Thanks for sharing. I understand what you mean and I'm currently doing something similar...again. What I (often) lack is the steps needed to go from a more complex long term project to MVW/MVD tasks and then sustaining that in the long run.
I'm currently looking into ways of hacking this, this being the dopamine cycle.
- Ensorceled 4y agoI've been doing SCRUM for a long time ... it's pretty natural for me to break down projects into smaller pieces that fit into a 1 week or 2 week cycle.
- Kosirich 4y agoYea, I've been thinking the same. I don't do so much scrum at work, but when I did and when I tried something similar on non-direct-work related projects it did something for me...In retrospect, I remember the pleasure of achieving certain amount of "points". When you break them down, do you try to "predict effort" in points or similar? I think it's perhaps time to try again.
- Ensorceled 4y agoI just keep breaking it down until it either feels silly to break it down anymore and/or I can estimate the chunk fairly reliably.
