Show HN: AskEdith.ai - A GPT-3-Powered Text-to-SQL Tool
- jlee644 4y agoInteresting stuff right here!
- aakashadesara 4y agoVery interesting - how do y'all ensure visualizations are pertinent to data request?
- jrdzha 4y agoAfter each query, you get to see the raw SQL that was generated and a plain English explanation of it! You can also download the queried data to inspect.
- tz08 4y agoWhat would be some applications of this product, especially for fields that aren't centered around analyzing data?
- jrdzha 4y agoThe idea is that you can use AskEdith any time you're looking at a Google Sheet, Excel, Airtable, SQL DB, etc. Alot of work requires working with data to some degree (marketing, sales, etc.), but isn't really part of their core work, so the goal of AskEdith is to help you do those filters, joins, groupings, etc., and get back to your make work quickly.
- richo24 4y agoDefinitely looks interesting. Is there some sort of test for accuracy of the SQL?
- jrdzha 4y agoIt's hard to "test" the accuracy of the SQL after generation, but it is provided to you in its raw form for you to double check.
- chrigrace16 4y agoThis is interesting as someone who works in marketing and is reliant on dashboards, and I can see this being useful in so many other use cases. Question is, and this is make or break, is this able to read data directly from Airtable? Also might be helpful if you add more use case examples on the website.
- zhaojustin 4y agoreally cool stuff
- redavni 4y agoIf you try to sign up with google account, realize you selected wrong google account and decline, you can't ever choose a different account without presumably giving it access to the wrong one and logging out.
