- paulryanrogers 4y agoGuessing this is sarcasm, yet it's not clear to me what the joke is. That the ruling party will always deny there's a recession near an election?

- scottLobster 4y agoPretty much. See also Republicans blaming Biden for every gas price increase and Democrats taking credit for every price decrease, whether they had anything to do with it or not. Typically an administration that's in charge during a recession doesn't do well in elections, so they deny it as long as possible.
