Several years ago my job then got a dev and prod server with a terabyte of RAM. I liked the dev server because a few times I found myself thinking "this would be easy to debug if I had an insane amount of RAM" and then I would remember I did.
- MathYouF 4y agoWhat kind of things are easier to debug with lots of RAM and how would you do it?
- none_to_remain 4y agoBasically working with code manipulating a couple dozen GB of data and then keeping a couple dozen copies of that to examine it after various stages of manipulation.
