- TameAntelope 4y agoYou are not. You think you are, but you are not. Also, the Civil Rights Act was passed in a time of extreme racism (necessarily, otherwise the laws wouldn't have been needed), society has advanced substantially since then, as has our thinking about what racism is and how it affects society.
