Built simple CLI to spin up VMs in the cloud to run Python code on-demand
- davismartens 4y agoThe dev experience for AzureML and Sagemake CLIs is so bad that we built dstack.ai out of pure frustration. It's a free (and soon open source!!) framework that allows you to run python code in your cloud accounts. AWS currently but adding Azure and GCP in the next few months. You can run your workflows directly via CLI similar to Terraform. Our main use case is for long running tasks where you need to spin up VMs on-demand to run large data processing, scrapers or train ML models without being locked into a specific cloud vendor (there might be other use cases you have). It’s pretty straight forward and you should be able to run code in the cloud within a few mins directly from your terminal!
