I just switched to a custom domain with mailbox and email forwarding to my personal gmail with Gandi. Then I configure gmail to send email as my custom email address using Gandi’s SMTP. It has been working well enough for a couple years now. I might decide to move to Google workspace at some point purely because email reception has been a bit spotty at times (a couple times Gandi decided that my bank’s mail forwarder IP addresses were in some sort of spam list and bounced them, causing them to revert to paper statements, which makes me wonder if I lost some other mail…), just haven’t done it yet. BTW big, big fan of Cassandra, got many battle scars from running it at moderate scale (500+ nodes ~8 years ago) :-)
