As a former math teacher, I was excited to do interactive math and graphing programs on the more advanced ti-nspire and cas system. Super cool! And I got rid of it as soon as I could. We spent more time making them work than using them. Kids don't "auto know how to tech" so it was just IT support instead of TI learning.
The one that I loved was the tablet / whiteboard projector. Like a wacom tablet and I could walk around and teach from the rear of the class when appropriate. However, most of the teachers struggled using it because you look at the wall and not your hand when writing.
In the end, the best tech is a decent whiteboard. Uhg. I've become the former generation.
