Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Remote work: Yes Relocation: No Email: sam + your name [at] sampatt [dot] com I'm a writer, speaker, editor, researcher, manager, and that guy who will (tactfully) tell you why your plan is bad and ask questions to help you make it better. Co-founded OB1 in 2015, the company which built the open source, decentralized marketplace OpenBazaar. I managed the open source community and created most of the content for the project. Wrote one of the first books about Bitcoin in 2013. Have traveled around speaking about crypto and decentralization since. Founded and ran the technology policy program at a DC think tank for awhile. I'm somewhat knowledgeable about technologies which focus on censorship resistance. This includes radio, a hobby of mine (I'm a licensed amateur radio operator). I'm familiar enough with Git, Markdown, static sites, content management systems, and HTML / CSS to be able to create and maintain documentation / content for tech projects. I can make simple bash scripts and know enough Python to automate basic tasks. If you need someone with knowledge of cryptocurrency, decentralization, or open source to help create and manage content and / or a community, send me a message. Also available for research projects, but only in fields which I find interesting.
