Nomad token bridge drained of $190M in funds in security exploit

- che_shirecat 4y agoThe most interesting thing about this hack was that most of the money drained was taken by people running copycat transactions of the original exploit to steal tokens held in the bridge contract. No code or solidity knowledge needed, just people (mostly bots) noticing the hack going on and pulling their own share of sometimes millions of USDC and other tokens by just changing one parameter (destination wallet address). Towards the end, hundreds of bots were fighting for miner priority to drain the remaining tokens.
