Desktop was 3 years from 6.06 onwards, only server had 5 years. Might have changed recently. This meant you had a year to upgrade the old LTS before it went end

Desktop was 3 years from 6.06 onwards, only server had 5 years. Might have changed recently. This meant you had a year to upgrade the old LTS before it went end of life (from 2008 releases moved back to April, 6.06 was the first LTS and I assume they took a little longer getting it out. I think the version before was 5.10)
