I’ve run the numbers for myself. Every dollar of SaaS revenue is worth 2X that of a dayjob dollar. I’m not saying SaaS money grows in some mysterious way, or that it’s easier not to spend it. I’m saying that I would be happier with $60k yearly from my SaaS, than $120k from dayjob salary if my customers were my boss instead of the asshole who is my current boss. So the answer is $5k recurring monthly revenue. With that I’d be happy to quit.
