Why would Google want to do this? Current 2FA suits its role perfectly: it prevents a large scale leak, one that would result in bad PR. There is no incentive for Google to care for individual users.
- Spooky23 4y agoThe government is slowly figuring out digital ID and will show up to regulate it. Identity is too critical a business for services companies like Google to walk away from. It’s stupid, because once the camel gets it’s nose in the tent, it will cost them more.
