- stevenjgarner 4y agoSerious question : why do publishers break down their blog posts into umpteen tweeted microblogs? Do the engagement web algorithms give preference to the number of tweets in a thread? I see this is becoming more of a trend (e.g. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32296873 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32296873). If I tweet the 587,287 words of Tolstoy's War & Peace are more people inclined to read it, or at least have it come across their feed?
- samatman 4y agoYou jest, but I follow a bot which does this for the complete works of Shakespeare. A larger corpus, though by less than one might guess.
