You actually didn't address why I said I liked cars, which is for road trips. My independence is really another. My point here, is rather than arguing for no cars, I argue for a society that balances both equally. I don't really like the idea of people making somewhere totally unwalkable or totally undrivable. Ironically, as much as you tried to disqualify what I said, I have no problem walking or biking around San Jose. Whether it was "designed for cars" is pretty arbitrary to me. I can ride my bike to the grocery store or deli and I can walk to a c-store and anywhere else I need to go. Maybe stop trying to dismiss me and really read what I said.
