> Seems like you believe that it’s less work to spend an hour with a 19 year old than a 91 year old?
Of course it is. Every fiber of her body is telling her that the 91 year old is non-viable and repugnant.
Every fiber of her body is telling her that the 19 year old is not only viable but yummy.
The flat fee is basically the 19 year old subsidizing the 91 year old for the immense effort that the escort has to make to override all the red alarms going off in her brain, heart and gut about having sex with a 91 year old.
On the contrary all the indicators are green when she's with the 19 year old but he has to pay the same rate of the 91 year old.
- kennywinker 4y agoThere’s a lot of assumptions baked into what you said. Your own repulsion towards age, and sexualizing older people. Your own desire for youth. Lots of other stuff too (perhaps a fantasy of being an exception for any sex worker you’re with? The use of the word “viable” suggests some biological essentialism at play) I’m not saying you’re wrong 100% of the time, but I’d be willing to bet a significant portion of sex workers wouldn’t see things that way at all.
- Bubble_Pop_22 4y ago> Your own repulsion towards age It's not me, it's Nature has a repulsion towards age, especially as it relates to sex and sex appeal. That's why people lose sex drive and attractiveness as they age, both men and women. Civilians and Sex workers alike. > perhaps a fantasy of being an exception for any sex worker you’re with? I just don't want to subsidize horny grandpa. Trying to be the exception and becoming friends with benefit as of today is the only rational way to go about it given the flat fee
- kennywinker 4y agoI edited my comment before I saw this, but I was definitely right about biological essentialism. Nature may make a framework for things, but our brains can work us out of that framework very easily. Not to mention you’re just wrong - plenty of older people (mostly women) would describe their sex drive as higher than ever.
- true_religion 4y agoThe initial escorting fee isn’t the entirety of what someone will pay over the lifetime of their client/provider relationship. To put it simply it’s like the initial consultation at a lawyers office. That fee is low, just to get a feel for the clients situation before talking about more. Young people have less lifetime value as customers because specifically they want high value things like sex. Old guys are okay with mere companionship.
- StevePerkins 4y ago“Dubai oil magnates vs. Boomers, who’s more gross?” is an interesting debate. But if you seriously believe that “the elephant in the room” with sex work is you wanting to haggle your prostitutes for lower prices, then I highly doubt they’re finding you as “yummy” as you think, lol.
- Bubble_Pop_22 4y ago> is an interesting debate Indeed. What's not a debate is 19 y/o vs 91 y/o. I did not mention race, political stance, skin color, language spoken or country of birth or any of those things. It's you who did that.
- StevePerkins 4y agoHa, that's the part that stuck? There's one other difference between the 19 and 91 year olds that you are overlooking. It's quite obvious and straightforward why the 91-year old is hiring a sex worker. However, unless he has 24 hours of shore leave before the Navy makes him get back on the boat, the 19-year old is inherently far more sketchy. He's in the prime years of his life for casual sex, and attracting mates. Why does he not have any friends with benefits? Why does he not have any exes, who departed on good enough terms for occasional hook-ups? Why does he not simply have a girlfriend? The old guy is a known commodity. The young incel is a walking red flag, who even in the best-case scenario is comparatively poor and apparently wants to haggle you on your rates. I suspect that for the sex worker it all balances out well enough. Stay yummy.

People want to both travel the world/live the digital nomad lifestyle AND be able to be in bed with a 10/10 the night they land in Rio or Barcelona when they don't know anybody yet. Escorts and sex workers provide a service that enables guys to do just that and get the best of both worlds, but the person who is getting the best of all worlds is the pensioneer who travels the world and has his quota subsidized by young clients.
