This article is part of the recent transparent shift in propaganda from denial to bargaining, now that the effects of climate change are felt, and have a measurable impact on the economy.
This is coming from people who aren't climate scientists, but have ties to the fossil fuel industry and made careers from muddying the waters, posing as contrarian experts.
Robert Pielke here spent the last 10 years lying about climate scientists, insinuating that they exaggerate the problem for funds, and that they cannot be trusted. His latest stunt is delivering the good news on climate, even though his own paper solely based on International Energy Agency projections predicts a 2°C to 3°C overshoot by 2100, which would be catastrophic. And that's with progress in mitigation, and no feedbacks affecting climate change.
